"The Never-Ending To-Do List of Roofing + Business: Start Again and Keep Going"

Table of Contents

One of my favorite business influencers is Alex Hormozi, a lifestyle entrepreneur and founder of Acquisition.com, and A.L.A.N a platform that provides marketing automation solutions to businesses.

Alex is inspiring to me because he has built numerous successful businesses over the years and he's always looking for new ways to help others do the same.

His latest quote really resonates with me:

"Building a business is like a million point to do list that takes a lifetime to get through. Every time you start a new one you have to start back at the top."

This quote communicates an important truth about entrepreneurship; it's not easy and it's an ongoing process. As CEO of a roofing business, you never stop learning; there are always new challenges ahead.

This quote is particularly relevant for roofing companies, as running such businesses requires constant problem-solving. Roofers are regularly faced with unique situations related to material choices, weather conditions, client requests, and more. The complexity of these decisions can be overwhelming at times which is why having an ever-growing "to-do" list of potential solutions can be so beneficial. It gives them something tangible to work from and allows them to move forward with confidence in their decision making process.

When running any business there will inevitably be times of great success as well as times of great failure. It's important for CEOs to remember that each situation presents an opportunity for growth and improvement if they take the time to analyze the decisions made and learn from them moving forward.

Alex's quote encourages CEOs in this way by reminding them that every "new one" on their list should serve as another chance to start back at the top—to evaluate what went wrong (or right) during previous attempts and use those lessons in order to grow their business into something even better than before. Ultimately this quote speaks volumes about the importance of resilience in entrepreneurship; building any kind of successful business takes time and effort but if you remain focused on continually improving your skillset then anything is possible. When it comes to being a CEO in a roofing company, this idea rings especially true given all the unique circumstances they must regularly face.

If a leader is determined enough they can find success despite any kinds of obstacles—it just means starting back at the top each time something doesn't go according to plan!
